Join us for the second event of Classical Vauxhall for partners in music and life, Elena Urioste & Tom Poster, as they take us through an exploration of some of the best American and British pieces.
Beginning the evening with Benjamin Britten and ending with Gershwin’s Someone To Watch Over Me’ and ‘It ain’t necessarily so’, this will be a remarkable showcase of some of the best 20th century works from both sides of the Atlantic.
Elena Urioste describes herself as a musician, yogi, writer, and entrepreneur, as well as a lover of nature, food and animals. In essence, she is the perfect addition to Classical Vauxhall. As a solo violinist, she has travelled the world and performed for the New York, Los Angeles and Buffalo Philharmonics, and has given recitals at the Wigmore Hall, Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, Kennedy Center, Konzerthaus Berlin, Sage Gateshead, Bayerischer Rudfunk Munich, and Mondavi Center. Elena has practiced yoga for over a decade and is the co-founder of Intermission, a program that combines music, movement, and mindfulness, aiming to make music-making a healthier, more holistic practice for students and professionals alike through yoga and meditation. Elena and partner Tom Poster began the #UriPosteJukebox during lockdown, which won them both the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Inspiration Award 2020.
