From the styles and languages of Asia and Europe to the tradition of African American spirituals that inspired pioneering Black composers Nathaniel Dett and Undine Moore Smith to a world premiere by B. Boykin celebrating Mary Church Terrell, an activist in the movements for civil rights and women’s suffrage, commissioned by Classical Movements
